FOLKLORD - Episode I: Death in Brittany

As a response to the breton culture's marginalization in France, Folklord was born.

After rigorous documented research and the submission of a survey, I decided to create from scratch this motion graphics and animation driven solution in the form of a web- series mainly broadcasted on YouTube. Immersed in an ethereal atmosphere, the viewer will be told legends and myths from Brittany’s folklore. All of that will be illustrated by epic celtic frescoes.

Translating the millennial legacy of Brittany's celtic culture was the true challenge in creating Folklord's logo. Thus, my first explorations were mostly focused on imitating the structure of ogham writing, the runic language of ancient Celts.

Then, I tried to graphically make something that would remind thee viewer of mystical and ancient celtic frescoes. This and the Breton flag's colours made me work in black and white.
Folklord being my end of studies project, I had to prepare a little stand to present it to a jury. It had to be quite portable and easy to set.

Many, many thanks for diving into this small part of my culture. See you soon!
